Checkups and Preventive Care
Following the guidelines established by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentists (AAPD), our team typically advises that children visit us for preventive checkups every 6 months. If our team discovers multiple cavities or early orthodontic concerns, we may suggest more frequent appointments.
Tooth-Colored Fillings
To treat small cavities in our youngest patients, we use safe, effective tooth-colored dental fillings that are always mercury-free.
Tooth Extractions For Kids

If your child is anxious, or just needs extra help staying calm and comfortable, we may recommend nitrous oxide (laughing gas). Dr. Klassen and her team offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas) to promote optimal comfort and minimize anxiety.
Dental Sealants
Our youngest dental patients can sometimes require special procedures, such as sealants. Sealants are non-invasive and essentially “seal” deep grooves in molars, keeping food/bacteria from getting stuck in them. This helps prevent cavities, especially since kids aren’t always known for great dental hygiene.
Trusted Referrals
There are other pediatric treatments that we do not offer at our office. Should your child need one of these, or is especially anxious, we will happily refer you to a pedodontist, a dentist who only treats children.
